Happy New Year 2007

A rare family group shot to start the new year! As you can see, despite global warming, we had a white Christmas in Winnipeg, although the average temperature is about 10 degrees C above normal.

While we started this blog to act as a substitute for multiple postcards while on the road, it seems fitting to keep it ticking over with family stuff until the travel bug bites again.

We have no major international travel plans for this year, but are looking at Peru, Ecuador, the Galapagos, India and China at some point in the next couple of years. For our occasional non-Canadian readers, we will be doing a fair bit of travel inside Canada - we will try to do out bit for promoting knowledge of Canadian geography.

In the interim, our new granddaughter, Madalyn, is the big family news so she gets a disproportionate amount of photo coverage!
